- R1 395.00 per person sharing (01/08/08 - 31/03/09) Gwalagwala is a small, intimate safari lodge offering luxury tented camp accommodation. Built to host a maximum of 12 people (6 tents), the individually named units nestle discretely under a canopy of trees in the natural bush to ensure solitude and privacy. Each tent is built on a wooden platform raised in the trees on sturdy stilts. The game lodge is fully electrified & all tents have their own en suite bathroom & private deck. You have a choice of twin or queen sized beds. All bedrooms are fully insect proofed as we are situated in a low risk malaria area. A short walk through pathways brings you to the Central lodge area where you will find the refreshing swimming pool and tree-house pub and breakfast verandah built up in the tree tops. You may wish to sit quietly in the thatched, open lounge which overlooks the river, spotting any animals that may be passing, or just watch birds going about their business whilst you become attuned to the sounds of the bush. The Central Lowveld is world famous for its diversity of flora & fauna which means that you can enjoy a nature experience equal to any. During your visit you can expect to view giraffe, elephant, zebra, lion and many antelope species as well as the smaller mammals and birds that all play a meaningful role in the cycle of life.
